The table below gives an indication of waste volumes needed in order to pursue specific technology options. For calculation of waste volumes the municipality should take current and planned waste reduction programmes into account. Further, the tonnages below might refer to specific waste streams only (as opposed to mixed Municipal Solid Waste). See the legend below the table for further details.
